1. Key Properties
AISI/SAE 4140 Forged + Hot Rolled (F+HR) is a versatile chromium-molybdenum alloy steel that combines the benefits of both forging and hot rolling processes. The forging process improves its mechanical properties by enhancing strength and toughness, while the hot rolling process provides good workability, surface finish, and dimensional accuracy. This dual-process steel is highly durable, offering excellent hardenability, wear resistance, and fatigue strength, making it suitable for demanding applications that require both high-performance and reliability under extreme conditions.
